Orange and Rockland Utilities, Con Edison Place Holiday Wreaths on West Point Graves
Orange and Rockland Utilities (O&R) and Con Edison employees and family members volunteered to pay tribute to the heroic service and sacrifice of U.S soldiers by laying wreaths on more than 7,000 graves in the historic cemetery at the United States Military Academy at West Point last Saturday (Dec. 2).
Through its Community Investment Committee (CIC), O&R also donated $7,000 to help support the solemn 14th annual Wreaths at West Point observance, a local project affiliated with the Wreaths Across America program. West Point’s cemetery is one of nearly 13,400 locations across the nation that place wreaths, including 248,000 wreaths on the graves at Arlington National Cemetery.
