SmartCharge Commercial Incentive Program
Eligible chargers include those for public spaces, workplaces, multifamily dwellings and industrial locations as well as light, medium and heavy-duty fleet vehicles. You can participate in both SmartCharge Commercial and SmartCharge New York.
As a SmartCharge Commercial participant, you can earn the following with your EV chargers in the Orange & Rockland service area:

SUBSTATION PEAK AVOIDANCE INCENTIVE (KW)
Earn extra incentives by avoiding charging during peak times* with every kW avoided relative to its nameplate:
--$7 per kW for reduced charging between June and September.
--$1 per kW for reduced charging between October and May. |
* Your substation peak period will be determined by the location of your chargers. We will provide you with this period after you apply.
Charging data submission will be required to calculate your earnings.

Demand Charge Rebate
50% Demand Charge Rebate for Eligible DCFCs Available
If you have publicly accessible DCFCs (Direct-Current Fast Chargers), you could receive help with operating costs and offset a portion of the applicable demand charges on your electricity bills. Chargers can be either separately metered or metered with additional site load, if the chargers represent at least half of the load. Plus, you can join both SmartCharge Commercial and Demand Charge Rebate programs to save even more!

SmartCharge Tech Incentive
Already a SmartCharge Commercial participant? You may qualify to receive cash incentives when you install eligible load management technologies on commercial EV charging stations.
